Police departments across the country have had a difficult time attracting new recruits and lateral hires. In seeking to have their videos standout from ra-ra recruitment campaigns, the El Cajon Police Department conceived of a series of interviews that features current officers and detectives extolling the virtues of the ECPD in ways that are appealing fellow police. These videos, along with a micro-targeting strategy proved to be a very successful blueprint for the department.
